This website has been set up to try and help you understand a little more about Orthographic drawings. This is another type of drawing that will be used within your Technology & Design classes.
The first question you will be asking is, what is an orthographic drawing?
The answer to this is basically an orthographic projection is a group of drawings that show the front, top, and (usually) the right side of a three dimeensional shape. They show the edges that are in view (those which are closer and aren't blocked from view) as bold lines and those which are 'hidden' as dashed lines
Underneath is an example of what and Othographic sketch of a concept car looks like. It shows the different view points very well, how ever you must remember that the amount of detail is much greater in an orthographic drawing/projection than an orthographic sketch.
